Quick & Easy Desserts

Homemade desserts are scrumptious and easier to make than you might think. So why not try your hand at making something homemade for dessert tonight. The best part will be sharing it with your family and friends.

Strawberry Bavarian Crème

  • 1 package strawberry jello
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 (one-half) cup water
  • 1 small container whip cream
  • 1 pound of frozen, sliced strawberries

Dissolve the jello in the hot water. Stir to make sure it is completely dissolved. Add the cold water. Stir completely. Chill in the refrigerator until partially set (thickened). Carefully fold in the whip cream and half cup of the strawberries. Put into individual dessert cups. Chill until firm. Serve with the rest of the strawberries and extra whip cream.

Éclair Cake

  • 1 box graham crackers
  • 1 large box instant vanilla pudding (you can use other flavors)
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 small container of whip cream
  • 1 contained chocolate cake frosting
  • 9 x 13 pan

Mix the pudding with two cups of milk and stir well. Put in the refrigerator to chill for about 5 minutes. While the pudding is chilling put one layer of graham crackers in the bottom of the pan.

Take out the pudding and fold in the whip cream. Spread half of the pudding mixture onto the top of the graham crackers. Add another layer of graham crackers. Spread the rest of the pudding mix onto the crackers.

Add a final layer of graham crackers on top. Open the chocolate icing and make sure you remove all the foil cover. Put into the microwave for 20 seconds. Remove CAREFULLY. Stir and pour the icing over top of the graham crackers spreading it out in a thing layer.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
